Threat Level
Some games such as WoW and Rappelz have a threat level in the game while Guild Wars is monster attacking the first one to aggro them or target with lowest health. ANet can simply implement a threat level system in with several skills which I will show below with PvE-Only skills and the PvP version based on threat level. However you cannot see your threat level such as meters and hints to show it.
Threat level is run in percentage, monster attack player with highest threat percent in their rating, threat percent increase depend on the damage they deal while supporting class have a base starting of high percentage than other class.
War is a class that need to tank in order to be party-effective. A war that run off to attack enemies' squishies is just another offense class.
Aggrevating Shout [6 Adrenaline | Strength]: Shout. All nearby enemy have 0..75% threat toward you. You lose all adrenaline.
Casters and Squishy such as monk and ele must NOT in any way have access to threat level management or else that would ruin the point of war.
Assassin with the above rule of threat would basically get screwed since they deal massive damage so they need a threat management skill in PvE.
Critical Stealth [10 Energy | 3/4 Cast | 30 Recharge | Critical Strikes]: Enchantment Spell. For 1..9 seconds you have -0..50% threat level. Refresh everytime you critical.
------------------------
For the PvP version, threat level don't exist since we're not integrated with microchip in our brain. There is a way tho to alter the percentage or getting targeted by altering the enemies greatest tools... *drumrolls*...their radar.
For War:
Aggrevating Shout [6 Adrenaline | Strength]: Shout. All nearby enemy can only see you as their enemy in radar. You lose all adrenaline.
// This work by making all the enemy except you disappear from radar, does not remove their ally tho.
For Sins:
Critical Stealth [10 Energy | 3/4 Cast | 30 Recharge | Critical Strikes]: Enchantment Spell. For 1..9 Seconds you cannot be seen on radar by enemies. Refresh everytime you critical.
// This could be very useful in AB used for a quick escape while could be highly valuable comparing with Critical Defense. This skill is also in critical strikes so caster cannot use it very well comparing to assassin.

Please don't bring in those ridiculous shouts and taunts that are somehow able to draw the aggression of species that do not speak human languages, are themselves often inhuman, are often in fact daemons, insects, sentient plants, and walking piles of dirt and stone.

I laughed. You obviously aren't familiar with Guild Wars at all. Warriors are not tanks. They are there for damage, for knockdowns, for SY.
This is not a game that uses tanks, plain and simple.

There are plenty of people who play Guild Wars not because they see it as the poor man's WoW, but because they actually like the differences between it and WoW. Myself included.
So very /notsigned.

Bad idea to bring up WoW in this topic. They often laugh because they don't wanna hear a crappy game such as Guild Wars be compared to such a good quality game such as WoW. People on Guru like the way the game is, full of grind and boredom, and resist change. The best to hope for is that the moderator closes this thread because they too know that the words "Guild Wars" is a disgrace to a game like WoW, which stands as a role model for Online - RPGs.
Enough said.

Yet all the sentient races speak english. Besides, going "GRAHH!!!!!11!1!1!one!" to get attention isn't the human language either . None-the-less.
/notsigned because it's 1. Too late for GW1. 2. Not that kind of game (and I think having monsters *at least the sentient ones* attack those with less armor and less health makes them seem more smarter.
NOW, if you had it so that it only affected the "dumbass" species, THEN I might consider it. That would be things like the plants, bugs, skale, norn, etc.

The current monster AI target acquisition system in GW is already pretty smart and based on a similar concept. However, providing skills to directly manipulate this system would be just braindead. Other than that, the OP doesn't seem to have a good understanding of GW professions and game mechanics and the suggestions are simply bad.

BTW, is that a troll or a sarcasm, Mr. Chang?

Zahr said it. Guildwars is not game where you are supposed to tank, quite opposite.
Hence there is no point in importing aggro behavior from other games.

We had that concept in the game a few years ago.
A.Net decided to remove it.

I think this thread is filled with a lot of closed minded people :\ However, I agree that it is completely useless to make suggestions for changes on such an old and established game.
I'm not a big fan of "tanking" as it is in other games (like wow for example) where 1 player just acts as a punching bag, but I would like to see guild wars 2 have a mechanic that would allow high armored classes to "protect" the low armored ones and have more options for managing and distributing aggro.

The crux of the issue is that GW already has several mechanics just for this, it's only that you must actually understand how to use them for your advantage and thus requires a bit more skill than pushing a big friendly button with the words "I can has aggro plz?" It's not closed mindedness, it's an opposition to dumbing down the game any more than what has already been done.
And as Upier mentioned, there used to be the 'bundle of doom' that caused monsters to studiously ignore everybody else than the one carrying the bundle, and ANet properly removed the 'feature' when it was abused.

I think that Ritualists could be the best tanks in the game with this. Or any /Rt, just get a tank, slap him Generous was Tsungrai and enjoy. Oh, wait, but then he wouldn't attack... But warriors are not for attack, rite? ;[
Seriously, it was removed because of abuse AND ritualists, that could go like "WTF WHY IM THE ONLY ONE ATTACKED" every battle.
